    STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.

    IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.

    Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B)
The Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B) allows the user to adjust the tension of the chain without the use of tools. This allows for easy chain adjustment.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 66reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by starts easy I think this saw ms 211 is overrated. 12 to 14" max blade on this saw . Wish I'd have bought the 18". February 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great saw for the money I recently purchased the MS 211 a month ago and since then have cut up several trees for firewood. I have a very tender back and have great difficulty starting another brand saw. This one has the auto assist feature and makes it a dream to start. It runs smoothly and the chain adjust is a welcome change to screw drivers and wrenches. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was that its a little under powered. However with a little finesse and proper application it seems to cut through anything a 16" bar can handle. This is one great little saw. February 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by just awell put together saw very well put together saw price wise and preformance February 13, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Under Power I bought this saw as opposed to 250 mainly because of price. I bought the saw wanting to cut firewood for personal use and could get away with only needing a 16" bar. After reading reviews I thought this would suffice for occasional personal cutting and I would save some money. The saw does really well for starting but if you are used to the old fashion hard cranking saws it takes some getting used to and I felt like I was going to break it when I began. However, being a STIHL this of course didn't happen. On smaller logs 14" or smaller the saw performs great. However once you begin to use up the entire cutting length the saw begins to bog down. I also switched out the low kickback chain for a regular chain and this makes the saw even less enthusiastic to work full bore.I think that if you are cutting small wood, 14" or less, this saw is fantastic. I do NOT think that this saw should be marketed as a 16" bar as you cannot use the entire bar and expect the saw to keep up with the demand. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by beast mode This thing will cut and cut and cut and never stop. Really surprised. February 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the easy pull start Have had NO problems with this little powerful chain-saw. easy start even if it sits for months. Make work around my place much easier. Plan to buy a larger one this spring. Best saw i've ever had. February 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good motor leaky peripherals Starts and runs greats, although more sensitive to being warmed up than my bigger stihls, like the vibration isolation, so put that in the plus colonm. The down side is the tool free caps for oil and fuel, they are hard to seat, and even still, don't park it on anything you don't want to cover in bar oil. Also, the carb seems a little hinky. Randomly running rich, then lean, for no apparent reason.I have a 029 Farm Boss that has been a workhorse for years, running as good as it did a15 years ago, and cutting 25-35 cords of hardwood a season, so I'm still a Stihl fan, the 211 just seems like it went into production before working all the bugs out. January 31, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Short working lifespan Light usage since purchased in 2010. Had collective repairs costing more than the purchase price, including the oiler. It has now thrown the bearings and seized up and not worth repairing according to Stihl dealer. The oil and mix caps never worked well. The pull cord pulled through the handle a couple of times (assembled by dealer - ended up a defective rubber handle). Oiler clogged regularly even after the new oiler installed. January 21, 2015
