    Anti-Vibration System
STIHL has developed a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.

    STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.

    STIHL ElastoStart™
The ElastoStart™ starter handle is an exclusive feature of STIHL. It is a starting grip with a built-in shock absorber that helps reduce the effort when pulling on the starter cord. The ElastoStart™ starter grip noticeably reduces the sudden peak forces (compression) normally felt during cranking. The forces which occur at the grip after the first compression stroke are smoothed out.

    IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.

    STIHL Quickstop®
STIHL chain saws are equipped with a chain stopping system designed to reduce the risk of injury in certain kickback situations. It is called a STIHL Quickstop® chain brake. The STIHL Quickstop® chain brake is designed to stop the rotation of the chain if activated by the operator’s hand or by inertia if the saw kicks back with sufficient force. In some working positions, the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake can be activated by inertia, stopping the chain within fractions of a second.

    Ematic™ Lubrication System
The Ematic™ guide bar when used with STIHL OILOMATIC® saw chain will provide proper lubrication and less oil consumption than conventional methods. The system works because two ramps, strategically placed in the guide bar rail, help contain the flow of oil and direct all lubrication to the sliding faces of the bar and chain links as well as the rivets and driver holes, which in turn can reduce bar oil consumption up to 50%.

    Master Control Lever™
The Master Control Lever™ is an easy to use single lever, operating the choke, starting throttle lock and on-off switch. The operator must pull the throttle trigger before moving the Master Control Lever™ to the choke position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what no other saw can I am 82 years old but have been using chainsaws on my 16 acre property for 40 plus years. I enjoy the work (and there is plenty of it) . I take all the precautions and am a very careful ( slow too I have to admit, but what's the hurry). This past year I developers severe rotator cuff problems both shoulders and could not get my machine started, yes it was a Stihl and I had it checked out. It was fine, it was my shoulders that were the prpblem. I thought it was the end of my chainsaw days but I decided to try out the 251 C-BE, nothing short of a junior miracle. It started so easily you might mistake it for an electric model. In so far as the performance, all I can say is that it was up to the excellence that I have come to expect from my previous two Stihl chainsaws. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome power to weight ratio... The ms211 is an excellent saw for any homeowner. It is very powerful. My box store saw went in the trash can. This saw can be used for clearing downed trees, to cutting fire would. Follow the long term storage directions and this saw will always be ready to work. Two years old and runs like new. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great chainsaw This is my first stihl product and it's great.. the easy start system is great and to be a small saw has great power and very reliable... starts easy every time March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by starts up nice and easy and performs even better The 211 chain saw is dependable , durable and affordable. My first task of trees to clear went smoothly. I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to use a saw that starts easily and cuts like a hot knife through butter. My only regret is that I didn't purchase a Stihl sooner. February 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by i bought this saw for my dad ,he is very active at 77 he absolutly loves this chain saw it starts easily, runs smooth and cuts excellent and the weight was a concern for him but this saw is a great balance btween weight and power February 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what i bought it for When a tornado rolled through my home town some friends needed help so i purchased this stihl and cleared fallen tree limbs ..worked like a hot knife through butter January 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by chain adjuster the design is poor. Its impossible to do with gloves on. Even with a screw driver, I could not get the dial lever out. I prefer the old saws with the 2 nuts. January 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great light weight Chainsaw I have a bad arm. So, I needed a light weight chainsaw that could do what the bigger chainsaws could do. I was looking at a 250 and when I lifted it. It was 11lbs and hard for me to lift. The sales person suggested the 211 C-BE. It was a 1lb lighter and it made a big difference. I has a little bit smaller engine, but it cuts big. I heat with only wood. I cut wood every day with this little saw and it has never let me down in the past three months that I have had it. It starts ever time, its easy to pull with the new pull start system, and it is very easy to tight and adjust the chain. My family came over to help me cut some wood for the winter and my dad and brother that was experience in cutting wood and both own bigger saws. Was very impressed that I could keep up with my smaller saw. I would recommend this saw to anyone that wants to cut some wood and don't want the big price and the heavy saw. January 11, 2014
